AUFHOFEN
...is the smallest fraction of Bruneck with 480 inhabitants. It is situated at 850 m above sea level on a scree cone below the "Aufhofner Kofel".
The historic village was already mentioned in documents 1000 years ago. At that time it was the summer residence of the bishops of Bressanone. A found flint blade even proves an earlier settlement.
Three noble residences (Schloss Aufhofen Ansiedel, Söllhaus, Moorenfeld) still bear witness to the former importance of the village.
In order to preserve the originality of the village image, the entire historic village center, including our farm, was placed under ensemble protection.
A special feature is our drinking water, which is collected in 7 springs above the village. The pure spring water is very low in lime and has a high iron and fluorine content. Therefore we need less detergent and it is good for the development of the teeth.
A number of associations (fire department, sports club, music, church choir...) testify to a very lively village life, in which our family is also actively involved.
